Brad Hastings will join us to share the fascinating history and story of Muskegon’s historic Frauenthal Center. From its opening as the Michigan Theater in 1930 and its near-demolition decades later to the community effort that saved and restored it, Brad will take us through the people, architecture, and milestones that shaped this iconic venue. He’ll also share the story of the historic Barton Organ, recent renovations, and how the Frauenthal continues to serve as an important cultural and community asset for Muskegon and the surrounding area.

Sarah Lewakowski, Executive Director of Mosaic Counseling, will join us to share how Mosaic is making professional mental health care more accessible and affordable throughout West Michigan. Founded in Grand Haven in 1978, Mosaic works to remove financial, insurance, and other barriers that can prevent people from getting the help they need. Sarah will discuss Mosaic’s mission, the services and programs they provide, and the important role the organization plays in supporting individuals, families, schools, and our local community.

Kirk Hallman, Executive Director of the Muskegon Museum of Art, will join us to share the story of one of West Michigan’s most impressive cultural treasures. Founded in 1912, the museum is home to a nationally recognized collection of American and European art and recently completed a major expansion that doubled its size. Kirk will share the museum’s history, highlight its remarkable collection and new spaces, and discuss how the MMA continues to bring people, art, and ideas together while serving as an important cultural and educational resource for our region.

Josh Bytwerk, Executive Director of Love in Action of the Tri-Cities, will join us to share how this local organization is bringing churches, businesses, volunteers, and community partners together to help our neighbors thrive. Josh will highlight the many ways Love in Action serves the Tri-Cities—from food and housing assistance to healthcare, mentoring, education, and other essential services—and share how volunteers play a vital role in their mission. It will be a great opportunity to learn more about the needs in our community and how we can get involved and make a difference.

Chris Heileman, a Certified EOS Implementer and former CEO, will join us to introduce the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) and how it helps organizations run more effectively. Chris will share practical ways leaders can create a clear vision, get the right people aligned, strengthen accountability, solve issues, and gain traction toward their goals. Drawing from his own experience leading a large organization and implementing EOS firsthand, Chris will show how simple tools and disciplines can help any leadership team become more focused, aligned, and effective.

JT Hogan will join us to provide an update on Spring Lake Public Schools athletics for the current school year. He’ll highlight the Laker sports programs currently underway, introduce some of the teams and student-athletes competing this season, and share what fans can look forward to in the weeks ahead. JT will also discuss how athletics continues to build school spirit, teamwork, leadership, and a strong connection between Spring Lake students and our community.

Sarah Rinsema-Sybenga, a board member of the Chispa Project, will join us to share how this unique organization is sparking a culture of reading in Honduras by putting books into the hands of children who often have little or no access to them. Sarah will share how Chispa partners with local schools and communities to create libraries, train teachers, and build a lasting love of reading and learning. She’ll also discuss Chispa’s impact—now reaching more than 33,000 students—and ways individuals and organizations can get involved in helping open new opportunities for children through literacy.

Dr. Daniel Fett, President of our local HEARTSafe Community nonprofit, will join us to share how ordinary people can become lifesavers during sudden cardiac arrest. Dr. Fett will discuss the importance of Hands-Only CPR, the proper use and accessibility of AEDs, and how his volunteer organization of local professionals is educating and preparing our community to respond when every second matters. He’ll also explain what it means to build a HEARTSafe Community and how greater awareness, training, and access to AEDs can help save lives in our community.
