Donation sign up forms for Snow Jam were handed out. Stefanie will be emailing all club members digital copies of the fundraising information.
Snow Jam raffle tickets were handed out. Each member will be given 15 raffle tickets. We are encouraging each member to at least sell/purchase $100 worth of raffle tickets. If for some reason, you cannot meet that threshold – for whatever reason – please let Brad Maclachan know ASAP.
Our club is signed up to be bell ringers for the Salvation Army at Orchard Market on 12/7. A sign up sheet was passed around.
John gave an update regarding distribution of Rotary funds to local projects and organizations:
With what we are calling Old Money (money from last year which has not been given away):
$2,500 – to Spring Lake – Art in the Park
$2,500 – to The Tri-cities Museum for a new exhibit
5,000 – to Gracious Grounds for bathroom repairments
The percentages of the 2020 Snow Jam money – the ‘New Money” :
20% - to the GH Read Foundation
20% -to the Momentum Center
20% - to GH Resilience
40% will be retained for future donation projects as they arise
We will work with the above community organizations to promote Snow Jam, raise awareness for their cause, sell raffle tickets, bring on more sponsors, and better convey to the public where the Snow Jam profits are going. This should help drive ticket sales, attendance at the event, and increase F&B sales.
