Madelyn Rabideau, daughter of Jerry Rabideau and Tami Meyers, has been named Spring Lake High School’s Rotary Student of the Month for October.
Madelyn Rabideau, daughter of Jerry Rabideau and Tami Meyers, has been named Spring Lake High School’s Rotary Student of the Month for October. She will be honored by the Spring Lake Rotary at October 13th’s meeting.  Madelyn is very active in a multitude of school teams and clubs and other community activities. 
 
Madelyn challenges herself daily with a rigorous academic load consisting of AP and IB courses. She is also participating in Spring Lake High School’s Early College program.   A 4.0 gpa has been maintained throughout her high school career which has earned her a spot on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll every trimester.   As an athlete representing Spring Lake High School, Madelyn has been a member of the soccer, lacrosse and swim teams. She currently holds the title of Captain on the Varsity Swim Team
 
School and community involvement is a passion for Madelyn.  She has been a member of Student Council since 2014, serving presently as the Senior Class President.  She is also a member of the National Honor Society and is part of the Be Nice Club as well as Interact.
 
In her spare time, she is a member of the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation’s Youth Advisory Council and the OsteoScholars Club. She has volunteered with the Faith Marie Lossee Foundation as well as numerous food trucks and blood drives. Finally, she is a Big Brother Big Sister mentor.
 
As previously mentioned, Madelyn is participating in the Early College program.  She will continue pursuing her Associate’s degree while finishing high school.  She then plans to attend either University of Michigan or Michigan State University to study either medicine or another science related field.
